Versatile Carbon Steel Fastening
Carbon Steel is the most widely used material in the fastener industry due to its excellent strength-to-cost ratio. At Dalloyed, we manufacture Carbon Steel fasteners that are designed to support massive structural loads in Bridges, High-rise Buildings, and Heavy Machinery.
Our carbon steel range covers Low Carbon (Grade 4.6) for general purpose, Medium Carbon (Grade 8.8) for automotive and structural work, and High Carbon / Alloy (Grade 10.9 & 12.9) for ultra-high-stress applications.
- Structural Grade ASTM A325
- Precise Cold-Forging
- High Fatigue Strength
- Uniform Hardness
Carbon Steel Property Classes
We provide fasteners categorized by their carbon content and mechanical strength.
Low carbon steel with moderate strength. Best for basic assembly, plumbing, and non-structural uses.
ASTM A307Medium carbon steel, quenched and tempered. Standard for structural steelwork and engine parts.
ASTM A325High-strength alloy-treated carbon steel. Used in high-vibration machinery and heavy engineering.
ASTM A490Mechanical Properties Table
| Property Class | Tensile Strength (min) | Yield Strength (min) | Hardness (HRC) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Class 4.6 | 400 MPa | 240 MPa | B67 - B95 (HRB) |
| Class 8.8 | 800 MPa | 640 MPa | 22 - 32 |
| Class 10.9 | 1040 MPa | 940 MPa | 32 - 39 |
| Class 12.9 | 1220 MPa | 1100 MPa | 39 - 44 |
Corrosion Prevention Systems
Carbon steel is susceptible to oxidation. We offer advanced surface finishes to extend service life: Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) for outdoor use, Zinc Plating (Blue/Yellow) for indoor aesthetics, and PTFE / Xylan for chemical resistance.
